Madison Newcomers Club
Madison, Connecticut
Meet our 2009 - 2010 Board!

President:  Kimberly Terribile

Kimberly moved to Connecticut in 2003 from Michigan. She lived in Branford for 1 year
and then spent 2 years in East Haddam. In 2007, Kimberly and her husband Justin
moved to Madison. Although Justin grew up in Madison, Kimberly wanted to make new
friends and meet other women with children. She decided to join Madison Newcomers
and had an amazing experience, meeting many new people in the community. She loves
the Madison shoreline and the Madison community. She is exciting about giving back this
year as president of the club.

First Vice-President, Programs: Sheila Rubino

Sheila Rubino is serving the Madison NCC as 1st Vice President this year, helping to plan
monthly meeting events.  Sheila moved to Madison in June 2008 with her husband, Jay
and three children.  Sheila is a per-diem Homecare R.N.  Sheila has found Madison NCC
helpful in facilitating her relocation from New Haven because of the Club’s civic and social
events, where she has made new friends with similar interests.

Second Vice-President, Membership:  Carly Callahan

I am a true "newcomer" to Madison having just moved here less than a year ago from
Greenwich, CT.  Since moving to Madison, I've been thrilled to meet so many wonderful
women through Madison Newcomers.  As VP of Membership, I hope to help other
newcomers have a similar experience.  Our family is having a great time settling into
town and exploring all that the shoreline has to offer.  We're thrilled to be a part of such
a vibrant community!

Corresponding Secretary:  Catherine King

Catherine moved to Connecticut following her graduation from the University of
Massachusetts – Amherst in 2005. Though she met her husband, Jon, at school, they did
not start dating until they both started working for the same company, Sightlines, in
Madison. Both Kat and Jon come from a community rich with friends and family and
wanted to recreate that sense of home when they moved to Madison. They have made
many friends in Madison, but, in order to really become part of the community, Kat
decided to join the Newcomers. They love their new home, enjoy walking their three
dogs by the beach and through the hiking trails, and want to give back to their
community.

Recording Secretary:  Heather Butler

Welcome to Madison!  My family moved here last December and joining Madison
Newcomers has been a wonderful experience.  Not only have I made amazing friends,
but my husband and two-year-old son have too.  Madison Newcomers offers something
for everyone.  I am excited about serving as Vice President of the Special Interest
Groups this year.  The board has worked hard this summer to come up with great ideas
for all areas of the club and we are eager to make this the best year ever!  Please feel
free to contact me at any suggestions, questions or concerns -we would love to hear
your input!

Treasurer:  Mary Sue Izzo

Mary Sue moved to Madison in 2004 after getting married to Paul.  Prior to that, she lived
in Milford, CT for 12 years.  Mary Sue joined the Newcomers Club when her neighbor,
Jessica, invited her to attend  a meeting.  The club has been a great way to meet women
that are open to forming new friendships.  It has also provided numerous social/civic
opportunities for the whole family through the special interest groups and fund raising
activities.  Getting involved as a board member has already proven to offer a new
level of satisfaction by working with other women with similar goals.

Historian:  Wendy Day

I am really looking forward to this year serving as Historian for Madison Newcombers
Club.  My family moved here from Southport, CT in June of 2007.  My husband Jeff and I
have two daughters ages 10 and 13.  Being a member of Newcomers made the
transition to a new town a lot easier.  I joined many Special Interest Groups where I
made friends and it kept me quite busy.   The positive experience I had led me to
participate on the Board.  I am looking forward to another great year with Madison
Newcomers.
